Dr. Anna Moore, DPM
Dr. Moore chose to leave the traditional medical world out of frustration over the lack of focus on the individual. Seeing the results of a system that too often treats patients like a pathology report, her desire is to help people get better from the inside out using a complete approach to wellness achieved by proper nutrition and overall wellness.
Dr. Anna Moore completed her podiatric medical education at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and served a three-year surgical residency at a Veterans Affairs Hospital in Northern California. She’s been a practicing podiatrist and surgeon for 10+ years.
Throughout her training, Anna encountered and treated a broad spectrum of diseases beyond her ultimate specialty in podiatry. Working in clinics, operating rooms, emergency departments, and hospital settings exposed her to the wide array of various ailments people endure. One recurring question persisted: why did treatments yield such varied results? In school, Anna learned that specific treatment protocols for a given disease would universally work, accounting for slight dosage and medication adjustments. Additionally, patients frequently sought her advice on dietary choices, managing type II diabetes, or enhancing postoperative recovery. It became evident that neither she nor her colleagues received adequate training in addressing these matters.
It took time before Anna fully comprehended the significance of the connection between food and our body's ability to fight and manage diseases. During her early years of medical schooling, her mother received an official diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, surprisingly identified by her podiatry mentors. This revelation highlighted that she had only scratched the surface of understanding the human body and the true essence of health.
For nearly a decade, Anna has practiced as a podiatrist and surgeon, going beyond her three-year residency. She is also excited to offer Radial Pulse Shockwave Therapy sessions for patients looking to treat their pain by triggering the body’s natural healing response.
Concurrently, she has dedicated the past four years to expanding her knowledge of holistic nutrition and functional medicine. This unique combination of experiences allows her to comprehend both traditional and holistic approaches to healing. By integrating her background in conventional medicine with holistic nutrition and functional medicine, Anna offers clients a unique and comprehensive understanding of their health concerns. She aims to serve as their intermediary, advisor, and guide in achieving optimal well-being.
